Leadership Training & Consulting

There are many different options when it comes to leadership training for your business. Most offer a one size fits all approach that may be successful. But that approach ignores the fact that your business, and your management team, are unique. Shouldn’t their training be tailored to their specific needs? At Juliet Lima Solutions, that is exactly what we do. Here is how we make sure your specific needs are addressed.

First Steps

The first step in tailoring a leadership training program for you is simple. We meet with you in person and learn about your specific needs. Hearing directly from you, the owner or executive, helps us understand your vision, company processes, and your goal for our program.

The next step will be to meet with your human resources managers to gather retention and employee satisfaction data. If you have not conducted an employee satisfaction survey in the past six months, we can help you conduct one.

Testing

Each of your managers will be sent a personal link to take the MSCEIT (Mayer, Salovey, Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test). Each test takes between 30 and 50 minutes and can be completed online in the comfort of their home, or at work. Their results will be analyzed, and a confidential report will be compiled for each employee. A total company report will be provided to you, with identifying information removed.

Individual Sessions

Managers will be given their results during individual sessions. They will find out which areas they need to improve, where they excel, and a guide on how to improve their emotional intelligence. These sessions will help prepare managers for group training.

Group Training and Coaching

Using the data gained from your satisfaction survey, retention data, and managers’ MSCEIT scores, we will create a training program for your specific needs. Your training program will provide a roadmap to improve your managers' emotional intelligence which is the key to retention and employee satisfaction.

Follow Up

Just because we aren’t on site does not mean we are not available to help. Post-training options include one on one coaching sessions, follow-up satisfaction surveys to determine manager effectiveness, and employee-focused training to prepare managers of tomorrow.

De-Escalation and Emotional Intelligence Skills Training

This is not a typical de-escalation training program. This course teaches you the skills necessary to de-escalate volatile situations, improve public satisfaction, manage the stress of a career, and help improve leadership skills.

We combined years of academic research on emotional intelligence with the skills developed as a police negotiator to create this one-of-a-kind training program.

Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to manage your own emotions and the emotions of others, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict.

What does emotional intelligence have to do with de-escalation?

We are constantly tasked with managing other peoples’ emotions, particularly those emotions at the far end of the spectrum. Understanding emotional intelligence is the key to effecting positive change in your career, with the public, and improving your de-escalation skills.

Who should attend?

This training is geared toward all disciplines including private industry, law enforcement, transportation companies, hospital employees, and casino employees, and can be custom-tailored to your specific industry.
